The Rough Bounds, including Moidart and Ardnamurchan, is a special place where time is really your own. There's both time for yourself and freedom to pursue a range of activities at your leisure. There are many opportunities to enjoy walking, wildlife, history, sports and highland culture. These can be done independently, or by joining in with one of the many organised events in the region.

There are a number of festivals and musical events throughout the year including The Loch Shiel Festival, The Three Lochs Books and Art Festival, and a number of concerts and ceilidhs in established venues. There are also regular guided walks with local experts over the spring and summer months to explore the wildlife, history and scenery of the area.

For the sporting enthusiast, there are a number of cycling, canoeing and running events to both participate in or enjoy as a spectator. Local sports providers also provide group activities and events. In addition, the local and regional Highland Games provide an opportunity to experience a taste of traditional highland sports.
